Admissions in government engineering colleges tend to supported Class XII board exam results. this is usually not similar to the last year. Since last year the admissions got supported by JEE rankings then Class XII results were considered.
In February and March 2020, before the outbreak of the pandemic covid19, government advertised in newspapers that this year, engineering entrance examination are becoming to be conducted on the premise of JEE marks.
Since the pandemic started, dates to conduct JEE entrance exams were shifted further and now it’s likely to be conducted in July. because the entrance examination is delayed, results are getting to be delayed also .
The state’s higher and technical Department of Education cancelled the advertisements. Dept took the decision to take admission on board exam results. To faster the process and start the session sooner. The govt. is yet to take any decision on it.
Manish Gupta, additional secretary, of the upper and technical education stated, “There are many suggestions given to the govt to fill the seats as soon as possible. But due to the delay because of the pandemic. These suggestions remain suggestions only. At this , but nothing has been decided yet,” said Gupta.
