New Delhi :

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has developed an affordable diagnostic device ‘SenFlex.T’ for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. The device can monitor breathing patterns, heart rate, & oxygen saturation level for patients with the illness. The device synced with an android monitoring App through Bluetooth can continuously monitor breathing patterns, heart rate, and Oxygen saturation level for patients with the chronic illness.

SenFlex.T will address the critical issue of addressing COPD at an early stage and by means of advanced healthcare technology, which is a boon for both patients and the overall healthcare system. The concept behind the device is based on the internet-of-things medical devices (IoT-MD) integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
