IIT Bombay releases a self help website ‘Bandhu’ for students to elevate their emotional well being

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) has released a self help website ‘Bandhu’ for the students to elevate their emotional well being. The platform will facilitate self exploration through quizzes, stories of people etc. The initiative has been funded by alumni from the 1992 batch. “I understand because of the pandemic many of you are stressed because of academic and other reasons,” said Chaudhuri in a video, adding that several students felt the distress due to emotional instability.

“The website has various options, quizzes, stories of people, self-discovery tools to help whether you can recover or you need to come back for more help,” he added.

As part of IIT Bombay’s Techfest, taking place virtually this year, an event will showcase spaceflight. Jet-powered suits, which allow pilots to fly without the use of aircraft and are an aeronautical innovation, will be exhibited by Richard Browning, founder and chief test pilot at Gravity Industries’ Daedalus Mark 1. Browning has created the world’s first patented jet suit, which can perform speeds in excess of 130 kmph and is capable of reaching an altitude of 12,000 ft. The website has been launched on November1, 2020.

Lucerne Summer University Ethics in a Global Context Course (LSUE) under UNESCO’S patronage aims to build a global network for sustainable responsibility. Students of MA and PHd who are interested in this program are eligible and can apply till November 30. Applications can contribute in searching for solutions to global issues like Climate Change, Poverty etc.

“The Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context” under the patronage of the UNESCO enables young scientists and researchers to examine ethical questions of today and tomorrow – beyond the boundaries of academic fields, cultures and religion – and to search together for solutions in a global context.

This practical and action-oriented dialog is ideal to nurture a constantly expanding, international network of committed decision makers who exchange knowledge, advise each other and work together. The guiding principle of this endeavor is “Know how, act now”.

Due to COVID-19 we had to postpone the LSUE 2020
The LSUE 2021 will certainly take place
We hope that LSUE 2021 can be conducted in the presence of all participants on site at the University of Lucerne

Who can apply? –

PhD students and MA students

Requirements –

– Good command of English: the entire LSUE is conducted in English
– You can be awarded 6 ECTS points (optional) for attending and successfully passing the LSUE
-To receive the 6 ECTS points, you must write a final project thesis

How to Apply? –

Show your interest in ethical questions of today and the future in a global context
Explain how you want to contribute to LSUE’s global and interdisciplinary network.

Outline your plan on how to achieve a positive impact within your context or academic research through ethical skills and knowledge. Send us your CV and two letters of recommendation. At the end of the application period, the complete applications will be reviewed by an international jury 30 people are selected and invited.
