Cancellation of VIT Engineering Entrance Examination
New Delhi.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak ,the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has cancelled its engineering entrance examination this year. The institution will instead conduct admissions based on the applicants marks based on their Class 12 board examinations.
The institution has been conducting VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) for admission to various engineering programmes offered by the VIT group of Institutions in Vellore,Chennai,Amravati and Bhopal. VITEEE was scheduled to be conducted from 29 July to 2 August. To keep the student and parent community safe, VITEEE-2020 cancelled.
The admission will based on +2 or Pre-University marks in Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. Applicants who have appeared for the Joint Entrance Examinations(Mains) will be given appropriate weightage during the admissions. In case the results of the Board Examination taken are not declared,they may upload the marks as soon as the results are declared.
