Is “Kerela” a lotus of education
“kerela” is a role model for nation in education sector. Its journey from a backward trible area to most educated state is itself a recoganisation of its transformation. Its obvious that this journey was not bed of roses.
Since the same amount of money is spended to diffrent state for uplift of literacy rate. But Kerala stood first among other Indian states in literacy and was declared a fully Literate State in 1991 and is the only state in India where over 90% of the people can read and write. The local dynastic precursors of modern-day Kerala made significant contributions to the progress on education in Kerala.
Seed itself have the ability to develop its branches the same happened in education field in Kerela. Kerala have about 1000 colleges under best 25 universities in 14 Districts. Schools and colleges are now largely run by the government, private trusts, or individuals. Each school is affiliated with the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE), or the Kerala State Education Board. English is the language of instruction in most private schools, while government run schools offer English or Malayalam as the medium of instruction.

Kerala topped the Education Development Index (EDI) among 21 major states in India in year 2006-2007. EDI is calculated using indicators such as access, infrastructure, teachers and outcome.
